Doris Ingraham was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin but lived the majority of her life in Winnipeg, a city she grew to love.
Doris was a registered nurse and a community engaged woman. She nursed during the 1953 polio epidemic and later taught at the Grace Hospital School of Nursing.
She also was a supporter of the arts. Some of her favorites were Winnipeg Art Gallery, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra's Pops.
You can honour the life of Doris with a gift to the In Memory of Doris Ingraham Fund. Gifts will be held until the Ingraham family determines whether the fund will be endowed at The Winnipeg Foundation to offer permanent community support, or flow directly to organizations in our community.
